Levan Arveladze: “It was clear that the Pro-League would not be easy”

Lokomotiv midfielder Levan Arveladze briefly commented on the season that ended with the club’s press service.

– First of all, can you give us your thoughts on the season that ended with the season?

– The road was not easy. I can say this because I have experience in the Uzbek Super League, and the Pro-League did not seem weak, there were periods of promotion and relegation in this league as well. In the end, we accomplished the task and lifted the trophy.

– Since there were fewer teams, there were fewer matches. Didn’t the fact that there were many days off in between due to the small number of matches create difficulties for the players?

– Yes, this also created its own difficulties. It was almost as if a training camp was being organized to prepare for each match. We would receive a huge load and miss official matches. This would exhaust the player both mentally and physically.

– What did you expect from the opponents this season?
– In general, it was clear that it would not be an easy opponent. Of course, I knew that this was not the Super League, but I understand that victories are not achieved easily.

– We could have solved the issue in the match against “FarDU” and not left the intrigue until the last round. What happened in that match?
– We were playing confidently, we were in control of the match. But then the two free kicks changed everything. Whatever happens, this is an integral part of football. In the end, we returned to the Super League as champions.

– What do you expect from the new season?
– My third season in Uzbekistan was also fruitful: I won two trophies (laughs). We’ll see, wherever I am next season, I’ll try to play with all my might, be more productive, and win another trophy. I also congratulate the Lokomotiv fans on the past season.
