– I congratulate the opponent on a well-deserved victory. They showed how to play football, how to fight for the ball. The coaching staff is largely to blame for this defeat. We failed to teach them well that we need to fight for every ball, that no one will just give away three points after entering the field. All teams in this league are trying to compete with us. We got lost in the middle of the game with combination football and long passes and stopped only with passes from the wing. Our game was not the same. We couldn’t score from the penalty spot and missed the counterattack. We made a blunder in central defense, allowing the opponent to get into a situation with our goalkeeper and take a penalty. That problem was a problem: we created chances, but we couldn’t score. Even after the goal we conceded, we created enough chances to equalize, maybe even score the winning goal. We played very poorly. The opponents showed how to fight. You can’t deny that. They deserved the victory more than we did.
– Earlier, at the press conference, you said that Lokomotiv is the favorite only on paper.
– Yes, any team comes out on the field and fights. They want to make a good impression. The guys are young, everyone is working hard, somewhere someone stands out. They even injured our goalkeeper several times. All our players thought that it would be easy. But it wasn’t. The result is fair. “Olympic-Mobiuz” deservedly won.
– What can you say about the missed penalty?
– The penalty is like a lottery. We couldn’t score. The goalkeeper jumped to the other corner, and the ball went the other way. This can happen to any player. At the moment, Shulaya should have taken the penalty, he just couldn’t score. After this penalty, we made a blunder in the counterattack, and then we conceded a goal from the penalty spot. Today, our defenders played unsatisfactory.
– Today, we saw that Lokomotiv has a big problem in the left wing defense. Why didn’t Khosrov Khananov participate in the match and what is the condition of Ibrohim Yuldoshev?
– Ibrohim Yuldoshev was injured two games ago. He is not ready yet. Khosrov, on the other hand, could not participate in the match due to family reasons. We gave Kozak another chance, but he didn’t take advantage of it. While we are attacking from the right wing, we have big problems on the left wing. We are passing very few passes from this wing. We are working on improving the quality and attacking nature of our play on the left wing. Because we are creating more chances from the right wing.
