Grigory Kolosovsky: “Goals were scored from both of the opponent’s created opportunities”

The thoughts of our team’s head coach Grigory Kolosovsky after the match with “Bukhara”.

– It was an interesting and fun game. I can say that the fans enjoyed this match. “Bukhara” won its first points in the cup. A lot of things in this game depended on the mental state. The guys could not take advantage of the opportunities under the pressure of defeating the Super League team. We put a lot of pressure, created good opportunities. However, we are having a hard time taking advantage of them. In the first half itself, we created situations that could have decided the fate of the game. It is necessary to describe the condition of the field. From the outside, the stadium looks like a lush green lawn. However, the grass is long, and inside the field is as dry as a desert. Due to the condition of the field, our player Jasur Hakimov, and the opponent’s player twisted his leg. Who allows football games to be held on a field in such condition… We wanted to play football on a field in better condition.
During the game, some of the referees’ decisions were in favor of the hosts. In two situations, the ball touched the hands of the opponents inside the opponent’s penalty area. On the wing, the opponent’s player Akaki Shulaya was thrown at him with his feet up. Neither the head referee nor the wing referee who was present at the situation said anything in these situations. These situations should have been reacted differently. Of course, these are our thoughts. You also need to be able to take advantage of the created situations. If you don’t score, you won’t win. “Bukhara” created two situations, and I can’t remember any other. They scored goals from those situations. I congratulate the fans of the “Bukhara” team on the victory.

– Did “Lokomotiv” set a goal for itself in the cup?
– Yes, we intended to get out of the group. Our group is very difficult. The fight in this group will continue until the last round. I don’t know the result of the match in Namangan, “Bunyodkor” probably won. The only way for us to beat “Bunyodkor” is to beat “Bunyodkor”.

– Today, “Lokomotiv” played against a Super League team. In general, is there a difference between the Super League and the Pro League teams?

– Did you feel that we are a Pro League team today? In the first half, we offered a big fight, like a team competing for the Super League title. The situations we created were not situations where goals could not be scored. We simply could not score goals ourselves. Of course, in the Super League, games are faster, there is more struggle. Our opponents have a younger squad. In the Super League, there is a lot of experience. This spoke for itself. In exchange for experience and skill, the opponents took advantage of their situations. I wish “Bukhara” good luck in the Super League matches. Next year we will compete with them in the Super League.
