Mirko Jelicic: It’s nice to be back at our stadium

Thoughts of our team’s head coach Mirko Jelicic after the match against Dinamo.

– It’s nice to be back at our stadium, Jonajon. We’ve had some great games here for many years. The players felt it too. In turn, I would like to thank the fans who came to support us today. This also gives the team strength. We knew in advance that the game would be difficult. Most of the games with a draw like this are mostly open and attacking, and we saw that today.

– Why didn’t Dinamo’s “killer” Temurkhodja Abdukholikov play today?
– He has a minor injury. We can’t risk him until he recovers completely. He was injured in training before the match against Lochin and therefore didn’t play in that match at all. Such injuries cannot be cured quickly, it takes some time.

– Lokomotiv lost in the 1st round and now they have a draw. Does the team want to go further in the cup?
– Any team probably wants to go further. We think so too. We could not show our quality in the match against Lochin. Maybe we relaxed a little. This team played a very good game. In general, all the teams of the Pro League are playing well in the cup. It is not an easy game against them. I do not know whether today’s points will be enough or not. I think we still have a chance.
