Thoughts of our head coach Mirko Jelicic after the match against Nasaf.
– The match was difficult. I liked the way we played. We are gradually getting used to everything. We performed well in the situations mentally and physically. In the second half, things went even better. Maybe this was not our best game. Sometimes in football you can win by playing badly and lose by playing well. I am happy with the three points we got.
– The schedule is very tight. Is the team physically ready for the matches that will be played every 4-5 days?
– We don’t have a choice. We have to have time for everything. Now there is not much time for the next match. That is why we need to approach each match faster. At this stage, the training process is more important than the instruction process. The team will not be in great shape in the next match, that’s for sure. We will try to show what we have on the field.
– Muhriddin Zoirov is being given little game practice.
– That’s the situation. At the moment, given his physical condition and efficiency, Temurkhodzha Abdukholikov can be called one of the 5 best players in Uzbekistan. There is no point in replacing such a player. Tima helps the team in every way. In addition to scoring goals, he can keep the team going and move it forward. That’s his character. That’s why his actions are important to us. In this situation, it’s a pity that Muhriddin Zoirov is being given less opportunities. This is football. We don’t fight for emotions, we play for the result.
