Mirko Jelicic: Football is an unfair game

Thoughts of our team’s head coach Mirko Jelicic after the match against Bunyodkor.

– Football is an unfair game. It’s painful to play football for 95 minutes and concede two simple goals in two set pieces. I liked the game my team played on the field. I congratulate the opponent with three points. Today, our opponent’s style worked.

– Lokomotiv suffered its second defeat in a row. To what extent do you agree with the opinion that the team’s results in the first three rounds of the season were a coincidence, and Lokomotiv has now returned to its true place?

– We can beat any opponent in the championship. Also, it is possible for each opponent to beat us. Our goal and path are different. We go into each match thinking about how we can be stronger in each aspect. I don’t think we played that badly today. That’s how football is. In some situations, plans don’t work out. If you look at the statistics, you’ll see who had the upper hand in today’s game and you’ll find the answer to your question.
