“Lokomotiv” striker Shodiyor Shodiboyev gave an interview to the club’s press service.
– How are the preparations for the new season going?
– We started the preparations at a great pace. So far, the main focus is on improving physical condition. Great training awaits us in January. In any case, we will need a lot of strength to play in the Super League. We want to enter the season ready for any situation.
– Last season, everything ended late for us. What are the reasons for the delay in completing the task?
– Yes, we wanted to complete the task earlier and calm our minds. But the championship game was decided only in the last round. Considering the difficult season, the number of teams and the small number of matches, none of us expected this to happen. But we were 100 percent confident that we would finish the season as leaders. An important task was accomplished.
– You have scored 6 goals and 1 assist in 22 games this season. What are your goals for the next season?
– I was not satisfied with the last season. 6 goals and 1 assist are very few for a striker. This has been a transition year. Now I will strengthen my plans for next year. I will strive to be more useful to my team, score goals and bring victories.
– What do you expect from the new season?
– 2026 will be difficult for any team. All football fans know this. Teams will offer competition to any opponent, there will be no weak team. In turn, we will also play for prize places. An interesting season awaits everyone.
