Thoughts of our team’s head coach Mirko Jelicic after the match against “Olimpik-Mobiuz”.
– We knew this match would be difficult. The opponent is a good team, they have quality and speed. I like their game, because they always play attacking football. It is good for Uzbek football when the national team players play like this. That is why we expected it to be a difficult match. We conceded an early goal, and at that moment we all fell asleep. It is very difficult to explain. After the red card, our task of moving forward became more difficult. Maybe because of this situation, many people can agree to a draw, but I cannot accept a draw. But in such a situation, a point can help us.
– In the first half, a team player received a red card. What can you say about this?
– It’s hard to know what’s happening in the center of the field. But before the game, we were told that no matter what happens, discipline will be followed. At such a time, we can’t be against the referee or for him. We just don’t know what happened there.
– Lokomotiv attacked less in the second half. Was it because of the sending-off?
– After the sending-off, we had to play differently. Because our game system was broken: we had to play in the middle and back lines rather than playing up front. The opponents controlled the game. The experience of the players in the squad helped us in this situation. There is time until the next game. We need to consider these situations.
– The next game will be against Aral at this stadium. Aral is currently leading. How can this match go?
– All games in the league are difficult. The teams in the lower places in the tournament table can also offer you a tough fight. Therefore, it will not be easy to keep your place in the table. Each team has its own style of play, tasks, and requirements, so you need to approach the matches differently. In turn, the opponents also look at each match differently. This is a good situation. Because all the teams are trying to play football. In the match against “Aral”, physical condition will be more important.
