Mirko Jelicic, who managed the Lokomotiv team for many years, has returned home.
A one and a half year contract has been signed between the Australian coach and our club.
The new coaching staff of our main team has also been confirmed:
Mirko Jelicic – head coach
Jamshid Saidov, Sadriddin Abdullayev – assistant coaches
Alisher Akhmedov – goalkeeper coach
Mirko Jelicic made a significant contribution to Lokomotiv becoming a 3-time champion and worked on the coaching staff of our team during those seasons. We also won the Cup and Super Cup of Uzbekistan when Mirko Jelicic was on the coaching staff and directly participated in the management of the team.
Jamshid Saidov managed the Bukhara team in 2021. He worked in the Lokomotiv system in 2022-2023, and in 2024 he managed the Kyzylkum team, leaving a warm impression in the places where he worked.
Sadriddin Abdullayev, who won the national championship twice and the Uzbekistan Cup once as part of Lokomotiv, ended his playing career in 2021 and managed the Lokomotiv U19 team in 2022. Under his leadership, our U19 team finished in 8th place in 2022, 4th place in 2023, 2 points behind the leader, and 6th place in 2023.
With Mirko Jelicic and his coaching staff, we believe that we will achieve great heights and wish our head coach success and victories.
