Grigory Kolosovsky: “We should have finished the game in the first half”

Our team’s head coach Grigory Kolosovsky shared his thoughts after the match against “Olympic-Mobiuz”.

– We witnessed an interesting game. There were a lot of actions and emotions. In the first half itself, we should have taken the lead with a comfortable score and finished the game. In the first half, we had 3 clear chances, but we couldn’t use them. We should have scored and finished them all. In the second half, we played a little behind and gave the opponent a chance. They used a foul on the opponent’s goal, but the referee didn’t blow the whistle. The guys stopped and didn’t play until the end. That’s how the score was tied. Then my guys moved, created chances and strived for victory. Because we were in the depths of a draw, and finally scored the winning goal. We tried to win and achieved it.

– How difficult was today’s game?

– The opponent’s players are young, they run a lot, they can move for 90 minutes. And we had problems with several of our players being injured. Some players also participated in the last game. Ibrahim Yuldoshev, Akaki Shulaya, Levan Arveladze were absent from last week’s training. In the second half, we tried to change the game. Although the opponent had the ball, we tried to win. We played very disciplined for the ball. We achieved the victory, but I would have liked to have solved everything in the first half.

– In the last round, you received a yellow card, today the goalkeeper coach Pavel Sinelnikov was warned.
– It all depends on emotions. The referees’ decisions should be the same for everyone. If an opponent player pulls our player’s shirt, the referee lets him play. When we concede a goal, the opponents kick our player in the leg, but the referee lets him play. If there is a small contact on the opponent’s side, he blows the whistle. When Jasur Hakimov received a yellow card, he didn’t even go near the opponent’s goalkeeper, yes, he kicked the ball after the whistle. But why was the whistle blown there? There was no attack on the goalkeeper. Let him look at the situation carefully. Yes, it’s a shame that there is no VAR. But the game was very interesting. The opponent also played for victory. And we wanted to win.

– Lokomotiv has a game against Aral in Karakalpakstan ahead. The match will be played at the same stadium as the match against “Jayhun”.
– We have an unusual away match ahead of us. The ball bounces and moves differently on that field. That’s why it’s difficult for everyone on that field. We played very poorly against “Jayhun”. Having learned from that game, we will make the necessary adjustments and be ready for “Aral”, the field and the scorching heat. We will go there for 3 points and be ready to fight.
