After the match against “Namangan FA” in the Cup, our team’s head coach Grigory Kolosovsky participated in a press conference.
– As I said at the last press conference, every team is trying to show their best qualities now. Since today is a Cup match, the opponent offered us a fight. Because at the beginning their game was similar. This caused us problems. Why are we entering the game so late? We only scored in the 36th minute. Yes, we had created many chances before that. We are also struggling with the same problem: not being able to use the chances we created. Of course, we wanted to score more. However, I have many questions for my defenders after the goal we conceded.
– According to many coaches, there is a big difference between Cup and Championship matches. Was such a difference felt today?
– The Cup is a short-term tournament. That’s why here, lost points can be a setback at any time, and the team can be eliminated from the group stage. That’s why everyone is trying to fight here. If this were a tournament that lasted as long as the championship, everyone would have a different attitude and would have played for a beautiful game from the first round.
– What is the task in the Cup?
– For now, the initial task is to get these points and get out of the group. Then, if we win as much as we can and maybe reach the final, we can win a prize.
