🚂 Sardor Mirzayev: “I will be happy if I benefit our team”

👉 Sardor Mirzayev has not been able to play football for the past two years due to injury. He had very little playing practice at OKMK.

He was not in great shape when he arrived at Lokomotiv. He gradually recovered and now feels very good. Mirzayev shared several thoughts in an interview with the club’s press service.
About the match with Nasaf
– The match went well. We unexpectedly conceded a goal at the beginning, but despite this, we believed in our strength. We won three very important points.

About his header
– I waited for this goal for a long time. I had been thinking about scoring for a long time. I also scored a goal against Mash’al in Guzor, but it was not counted. I am happy that I benefited our team. My intention is to score more goals and benefit Lokomotiv.

Every goal is important in football. It was good that we equalized at halftime. I scored a lot of headers.

About who I dedicated the victory to
– I dedicated it to our team. We really needed three points. The teams are close in the tournament table. It’s a very interesting championship. We have improved our situation a little. We will try to continue in this spirit.

About my current sports form
– I couldn’t play for three weeks due to an injury. Now I feel good.

About scoring a goal in the Uzbekistan Championship after six years
– Yes, it’s a long time. I spent four years in Thailand. After returning, I got injured and couldn’t play again. I spent a long time undergoing treatment.

On being patient for so long
– I thank God for everything. Being sidelined due to an injury is hard. It’s not easy, especially at this age. We know that many people have finished playing football. To be honest, I had the same thought. I thought about quitting. But I didn’t stop. I waited patiently for my recovery and return to the field. Having close people around me encouraged me.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank OKMK head coach Mirjalol Qosimov and club general director Bakhodir Mirzayev. They helped me a lot in my recovery from the injury. Then I left the team, I couldn’t help the Almalyk team as much as I wanted. Maybe in the future our paths will cross again.

On returning to a second youth
– (laughs) It’s all from God. I want to play football until I can. If I feel that I can’t, I will end my career.

About the Thai Championship
– The four years in Thailand were good for me. I played there for three seasons and scored 30 goals and made about 25 assists. I think I made a good impression, otherwise I wouldn’t have played for a long time.

I wouldn’t advise young people to go to Thailand. The level of the Thai Championship is lower than ours anyway. I thought it was normal because I left after 30. But I don’t recommend young people to go, they should only look to Europe.
